Handmade Gifts

These are the handmade gifts I received from my 'arty' friends.

A tree from Marian with ribbon wrapped around the base.

A bagful [handmade of course] of goodies - clay decorations, felt house, decorated jar, pebble.

A doll from Gillian.

I love her curly hair.

A bauble picture from Vicky. It was difficult to get a good picture of this because of the glass reflection.

I've got some talented friends, haven't I?

Fabric Christmas Trees

I went to a workshop at a friends shortly before Christmas and we made little Christmas trees from fabric. The patchwork trees are stuffed with wadding, have dowelling for a trunk and empty thread reels are used to keep them upright. I used braid for extra decoration.

Snowman

It was very cold today but we went for a walk at the coast at Seaham. A crowd was gathering ready for the annual Boxing Day dip in the sea. Guess what ..... I didn't join them.

I've not posted anything for a week as I've had my mum and sister staying. I've photographs to sort of embroidery and gifts given and received from my arty friends. In the meantime I'm starting off with a drawing done on my tablet.

Quilted Table Runner

I made some place mats a couple of years ago and as there was plenty of the winter themed fabric left I made a quilted table runner to match.

Embroidered Felt Pears

The Christmas workshop held last Saturday was entitled Partridge in a Pear Tree, and we had a choice of making birds or pears .... all eight ladies attending made pears, but we have felt left to make a bird.

Reindeer

My plan was to post about a workshop I attended on Saturday, but I shall have to leave it until tomorrow. I was sorting through the photos...... I have photos of everyone's work except mine.

Blackwork
