I've enhanced a bird I painted a few weeks ago with hand embroidery, I used running stitch with different coloured threads.
Below is the bird without stitching. I think I used a stamp for the general outline then filled in the rest with a brush. Brusho and Manutex.
The stitches gives the bird definition and character. The yellow thread is a beautiful addition.
