I decided to take up crochet recently. I have done crochet years ago when I made lots of granny squares for a blanket but I've never followed a pattern before. I'm making a toy bunny for my expected Grandchild in May. I'm thinking maybe I should have made something straight/easier because there is lots of adding stitches and reducing stitches and some bits are small and fiddly. The yellow yarn is old yarn I had been practicing on. You wouldn't believe the number of times I had to undo it and start again but I think I've got the hang of it now. Basically I just wasn't reading correctly what was on the page.

That's lovely news to know you have an expected Grandchild in May, and I think it's a great idea to crochet him or her a toy.
ReplyDeleteOne of my friends loves giraffes, I must show her your drawings :)
All the best Jan
Crocheted toys are very popular and I am sure yours will be very original. No need to follow a pattern to the T.
