Friday Catch Up - 21Jan22

Doodlewash Challenge
R is for Rose

S is for Seal

T is for Tortoise

I'm thinking of repeating one of the paintings from this month for a postcard for the Twitter Art Exhibit. People can send in their artworks, about postcard size to sell to raise money, this year it is for the Encephalitis Society.
I sent one in last year for a different cause and it sold on the first day of the exhibition.

I signed up for the TextileArtists.org stitch camp this week, it lasts for 5 days and was free to join. The workshop instruction was given by Gwen Hedley.

Day  mark making on fabric with paints using 2 colours.

When I got started on day 2 I realized that there was not enough black paint on the yellow half so I painted on more black. I forgot to take a photo of the full piece before starting to cut it up but this is a photo of half of it.

We also did a piece with more spaced out paint.

I thought the small might make an interesting fabric so here it is. It was nothing to do with the stitch camp, just went off on a tangent.

Day 2 - Deconstruct and reconstruct.
Pieces cut up and then joined together.

Day 3 - Adding hand stitching - no photo yet
Day 4 - Adding layers - no photo yet

As it is Friday again Happy Paint Party Friday
