Embroidered Birds

Mainly back stitch and French Knots.
Sorry for the terrible photos, it was so dark even on a south facing window shelf.
There are actually three different coloured fabrics and threads.
I will be making a cushion cover so hopefully the photo of that will be better.

Collage

I've been playing with Gelli prints and made the collage out of those sheets.
I used acrylic paints and a variety of papers.

  6. It's nice to see your embroidery again. Are the birds based on your own drawings?
Your fabulous gelli paint collages make me think of Japanese screens.
There are so many beautiful doorways in Asia.

  11. I don't think my knees would bend far enough to sit on that low of a stool...can't even think about how on earth I'd get back up. Guaranteed it would not be graceful.
