Other Art - Inspired by photos taken in Asia
This one was based on the large bonsai trees. Background and trunks are watercolour and the foliage is collaged with gelliprint papers.
This was a statue of a tiger. Watercolour and collage.
A street in Vietnam. Acrylic paints, painted in an abstract kind of way and not using the colours I saw. I'm not used to acrylics and I find doing small details hard to do compared with watercolours.

  4. Those trees at Angkor Wat are amazing. Wow. And nice drawings today. I wonder what those nuggets are that the otter is holding. I hope you have a great weekend.

  5. There is so much to see in your artwork, details like the little heart in the latte foam, the very modern monarch in jeans, the eyelashes of the tiger, the Vietnamese street view with its clutter of shacks, laundry and electric lines, that enormous urn (made of wood?) and most uncomfortable looking chairs in Mekong, the house of turquoise poles in Cambodia, edible veggie flowers and a waterfall of roots at Angkor Wat...

  8. Acrylics do behave very differently to watercolours. It's all good fun, though!
