What is in the cupboard across the passageway?
And in this cupboard [hard to tell from the photo] is a very tall wig with a ship on the top, inspired by the wigs of Marie Antoinette
There is a window reflected on it too
The two windows on the right are on the inside of the house.
Flower of the Week
I have quite a few grape hyacinths around the garden this year.
The flowers look pretty but what looks awful is the sooty mould on a lot of my shrubs, its a fungus that grows on the sugary sticky waste excreted by sap-sucking insects like aphids. It doesn't directly infect the plants but it can block sunlight, reducing photosynthesis. One is supposed to get rid of the insects first, but I've never seen them. Hosing is supposed to remove the mould but it seems to want to cling to my shrubs, and it seems to be spreading to more shrubs.
Hope you have a fun week, bye for now.

Lovely art and photos. I get mold on my honey locust tree trunks every year at this time but it goes away later on. -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures and windows, Lin! The grape hyacinths - I wonder if the one growing in my garden is that one. Have to look carefully 😀. Thanks for sharing with Monday Window.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful photos and artwork. I love the cabinet and the reflection.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful art the birds are excellent. I like that cupboard and the other photos too. The grape hyacinths are gorgeous. Wonderful post.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sketches, you really are amazingly talented, the Robin is exceptional. Sorry to hear about the fungus, it's sad when something takes hold of our precious garden plants. My dear Grandad always used a mild soap and water solution and sprayed many of his plants to rid them of a variety of attacks. I know it works on some as I treat my own plants the same way fingers crossed you can rescue some.
