I used some new water based acrylic paint markers for this Doodlewash Art Challenge. I wanted a light grey but the only light one was metallic so my cat is part metallic.

These are the markers, they are double ended.

Gelli Prints

Leaf print which I altered slightly in Photoshop.[I'm not sure how long I'll have Photoshop as it's going up in price so I'd better make the most of it while I've got it]

Another leaf gelli print, the first one is the original gelli print, then alterations in Photoshop using neural filters on the three below it.

Did anyone eat turkey over the holidays?

They are quite beautiful apart from the blobby bits below the beak.

These were seen at Beamish Open Air Museum.

I did these gelli prints a while ago

I used real flowers. Metallic paint was used on the picture above.

Catch Up Friday - 13th December 2024

I bought these wood slices a while ago after I got a pyrography wood burning kit for a gift. I didn't get on very well with the kit so I thought I would try painting the slices. I probably will have another go with the kit sometime but I don't like the smell/fumes even with a mask on. And I find that the tools are harder to use than a paint brush.

Friday Face Off

I made some 'dolls' for the Grandkids using their faces. Elliot likes Minecraft and the girls Like Elsa from Frozen. They're fabric, I used t-shirt transfers, stitched and slightly stuffed.

I've not done any Doodlewash challenges this month so far but I was babysitting the youngest and she wanted to paint so I joined in. I was using the worst possible brush and kiddy paints but I was quite surprised with the result.
