Doodlewash - January 2021

I got some new inks and thought I'd try them on a these two doodlewash pictures. The writing and border are inks on the happy new year but the background orange is watercolour. The entire picture below was painted with the inks, I don't think it was very successful so I'll stick to watercolours for this kind of work and use the inks on mixed media works perhaps.

You may have seen the single flower before but not the repeat pattern.

I used a plastic wrap effect in photoshop.
