Doodlewash Art Challenge / Friday Face Off
4. Winter Moon, 6. Nutcracker
7. Christmas Cactus, 8 Garland
5. Ornament, 9. Snickerdoodle, 10. Tree, 11. Snow Globe, 12. Jack in the Box, 13. Jolly, 14. Hot Tea, 15. Gnome
I made the grand children a Christmas doll each with moveable limbs. I found the Christmas papers on the internet and the doll pattern and I put a photo of their heads on top of the dolls head. Held together with mini brads. I found some chains to hang them up with.
Collage
I used envelopes for this collage, little bits torn from used envelopes.
The 'stitching' is pen.

Flower of the Week
Christmas Cactus
I have two different plants in a pot and one always flowers at a different time to the other, the other one usually around Christmas
That's all for today. I'm in a bit of a hurry today so I'll probably not get around to checking out many blogs..

Wonderful photos and artwork. I love the dolls you made and the envelope collage. The stitching fooled me.
ReplyDeleteI do like the Scottish windows, building and scenes Lin 😀 The row of white houses and the looking at the fields through the window are my favourites.
ReplyDeleteI like the envelope and "stitches"
Thanks for joining in Monday Window
I so love your painting. You give me hope that I can get better. The dolls remind me of paper dolls. They were so much fun. Wow that collage is fabulous. Love the pen work. Your photos from Scotland always interest me. The 4 one down, at first I thought was in MT. There is a place on Flathead lake that looks just like your photo. Thank you for sharing all of it with FFO and have the best weekend.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your art and photos today
ReplyDeleteThere is so much to see on your blog. Christmas cactus, benches with views, fantastic paper dolls and that clever collage made of scrapped envelopes.
ReplyDeleteQueenie
I enjoyed seeing more of Scotland, and your Christmas cactus is beautiful. Fun art too. I hope you have a super weekend ahead.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love those Christmas dancing dolls - such fun!
ReplyDeleteAs a nutcracker collector, I love your painting. I also love the idea of making paper dancing dolls of the grandkids, so I may try that soon. Happy FFO!
