Take a stitch Tuesday - the stitch this week is triple chain. I thought I would do my sample while I was at a friend's house and I thought I remembered how to do it, but it appears I have done it slightly different to how it was done on the TAST site. I also sewed on some flower sequins and beads [below]. I did another one following the instructions [above]. I've also sewn on some dyed lace and flower sequins and beads. As usual I have stuck the samples in my altered book.
I think what you have done is good, and what a good idea to use up bits of dyed laces....Would you mind if I used this idea, I have a lot of "stuff" that I need to find a use for or it will go to the tip when I am gone but they might keep a sampler book if I make one.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shirley, I don't mind at all if you used the idea. Much more fun when you can use some of your 'stuff' than having to chuck it. Go for it!
ReplyDeleteOh Be still my heart! this is so beautiful. I love hand work. It's wonderful.
ReplyDeleteso pretty, it looks like lots of little flowers
ReplyDeleteWhat a huge difference it makes whether you put the stitches just on a simple piece of cloth - as I do - or you stage the stitches - as you do. I love very much what you do.
