Wellies

This weeks contest at Spoonflower is 'wellies and galoshes'. I actually prefer the jumble of wellies below but I entered the top one in the contest. Which do you prefer?

Caterpillar Magazine and Sketchbook Pages

I've got a couple of my little illustrations as part of a collage in 'the caterpillar', a magazine for children. My drawings are the bird writing and the plug/socket. Visit their website here

Doodles in my sketchbook.
I recycled some washi tape [stuck on with glue stick], the lines were made with aquamarkers and water.

Aquamarkers, brusho and metallic posca pens
My friend had bought a silhouette cutting machine and she gave me a demonstration by cutting out the pink buttons. I don't like what I have done with them but the buttons are nice.
The page below shows what I did with the off cuts [the pink bits] from the buttons. There were also lots of dots......

Tulips for Spring

It was a nice spring day today so I spent a few hours in the garden trying to put some order to the mess. We recently had a large tree cut down [I loved that tree but it was far too big for the garden], the fence blew over and we got a replacement, then it was painted - which led to a lot of trampled and damaged plants and lots of logs to sort out.
I did have a few tulips in my garden, but I've not seen any this year - yet, and there have been less daffodils than normal too. Maybe things will grow better now the big tree is gone.

Two Faced

I thought I would do the side of a head in a different way, weird eh?
I used the mirror tool in sketchbook pro on my tablet. I used pixlr-o-matic on the background for the starry effects.

Bookmarks

These are bookmarks I designed for a competition.

I also designed the bookmarks below but forgot to enter them in the competition. The top two are my favourites anyway.

An Abstract Painting

During January I had an urge to do a painting and this is the result.
I used watercolour paper and acrylic paints. I collaged on parts of book pages to start with and after painting I stamped with miscellaneous items. I forgot about it but looking at it now with fresh eyes I'm thinking maybe it would benefit from stitching on it as well.

Button Book - part 8

There are no more pages to show you but I had a few more images of the book as a whole I thought I would share. As I used rings to keep the pages together I could easily add more pages, although if I did that it may not close together to well.

Button Book - part 7

This page is made up of an art background with hand made washi tape strips on the top. I used vintage buttons which I applied with embroidery. Stitched around the edges.

This is one of my digitally altered photos I created a few years ago and the button is an art button I created with a recycled envelope. Stitched around the edges.

Painted and stamped using handmade stamps and painted doily. Various art buttons - I used inkjet and laser prints. Stitched around the edges.

The back cover - painted, stamped, outlined. There are no real buttons on the back.
