Dog in Acrylics and Sketchbook Revival

Acrylic Painting - Dog

I did this by watching an Angela Anderson video on UTube. I didn't like it when I had first done it but it's grown on me.

Sketchbook Revival

Day 4, session 2: Concertina Fun: Make a fun mini concertina book with Karen Stamper

Day 6, session 2 with Helen Wells. Expressive Sketchbooks: Seeking inspiration outside.
I used small sticks and the end of a feather to draw these with  ink. I used photographs of interesting trees for inspiration. I think this has been my favourite session so far.

I used two of the stick drawings to make a pocket in an altered book.
The pocket holds an altered postcard.
Day 5, session 1. Robyn McClendon - Altered Book as a sketchbook.

Day 7, session 1 with David Drazil
Drawing Perspective Made Easy
This one is 5 point perspective

Day 7, session 2 with Trupti Karjinni

Day 8, session 1 - Shelley Klammer

I think you can still join in with these sessions if anyone is interested.

Happy Paint Party Friday!

Day 2, Session 1 - Cracks in the road with Jeanne Oliver
I used emulsion tester pots [for walls] with gesso and charcoal

Day 2, Session 2 - Block Printing Basics
I didn't have a rubber printing block so I used some foam playing cards

Day 3, Session 1 - The Urban Vignette with Shari Balukpf
I used a mixed media paper instead of watercolour paper.

Day 3, Session 2 - Loose Florals with Neesha Merani

Another version painted in a flower book

Day 4, Session 1 - You're a Hoot! with Tamara Laporte
The black pen I used was too thick and the feet are all wrong.

I forgot to take a photo of session 2 results so I'll leave that while next time as it is dark now.

Tiger in Acrylics, Watercolour Sketches and Sketchbook Revival

 Acrylic painting on canvas sheet.

I had a Utube video on at the same time I painted this. It was Angela Anderson who was painting a tiger and although I painted a different tiger I still picked up some tips.

Doodlewash Watercolour Challenge

Garden Tools

Sketchbook Revival 2021 started yesterday.

The first video was with Danny Gregory and we had to use a number of different mediums using each for 1 minute to draw a shoe. This mini ornamental shoe was a gift from a friend visiting Dubai.
I used an aqua marker, flex marker, uni posca, uni posca metallic, inktense block [with water] and a mangaka flexible.

The second video was with Carla Sonheim and we did one-liner drawings, i.e. don't take your pen off until you finish the drawing. I used an altered book for the first drawings hence the strange background.

I picked two of the drawings and developed them into these. I used coloured pencils and marker pen.

Don't forget to check out Paint Party Friday, it's their 10th birthday!
