Friday Catch up 29 10 21

I finished the cup book a few weeks ago but forgot to take photos until today. Some of the pictures are the same or similar to the WIP version except they have been done on watercolour paper. The pages are a bit bigger than A4 but there are only eight pages including the front. Tuesday's cup is the original WIP, I just stuck it to the page so it would hide the stitching.

I've called it 'The cup of the day'

Mondays cup is narrow and tall

Tuesday's cup is wide and small

Wednesday's cup has great big spots

Thursday's cup has very small dots

Friday's cup is very pretty

Saturday's cup is for the kitty

And the cup you drink on a Sunday morning
Tastes just perfect and is so restoring

Digital Art

I have done some more on the quiet book but I didn't take photos so I've just got digital art today.

Below is the doodle created on my tablet and above is the repeating pattern completed on the computer.
I think I used Corel Painter App on the tablet.

A repeating pattern made from the two doodles below.

Quiet Book for Bethany WIP

Shapes and colours

Build a cat. I used one of my Spoonflower swatches for the background.

Jigsaw. Bethany is fascinated with their dog Molly.

The most problematic page so far. My plan was to make a removable unicorn but I messed up the plastic in the middle and the felt got spoilt. I didn't have enough of that colour to try again so I made a smaller version and stitched it to the page. I accidently stitched it to the wrong side of the fabric - doh. I wish I had gone with the darker purple for the mane and tail or lighter pink for the body [which I didn't have]

Altered Photo

Vintage photo altered with a couple of doodle faces I drew on my tablet.
I have a few Apps on my android tablet, I think I used Sketchbook Pro for these.

Quiet Book WIP

 Sensory - Touch

The bear has a two way sequin tummy. He can also be removed from the page to play with. Fixed on with velcro.

Counting

I used t-shirt transfer paper on white fabric. The transfer paper stops the fabric fraying so I used it for the flaps and the pictures underneath.

I couldn't get a photo showing all the raised flaps as they just fell back down again.

Colours

I sewed velcro on the loose crayons to attach them on top of the fixed crayons.
Maybe I should have put strings on them so that they don't get lost.

Sensory
Different textures to touch.

Friday Catch Up 15 10 21

A tablet doodle. I think it looks a lot better once I added the lines.

All digital work this week. I have been busy doing the quiet book but I don't have photos to show you.

Catch Up Friday 8 10 21

 Sewing and Upcycling

I made this dress for my 2 year old Granddaughter out of old jeans and buttons. For the lining I used a new sheet left over from a past project.

Digital Art

I was messing about on my tablet using the Corel App for these.

Quiet Book WIP

I've started a new project of a quiet book for my other Granddaughter. Hope to have it done before Christmas. The first page I have started is all about colours. I used t-shirt transfer paper for this. One set of pencils needs cutting out and I need to add some sort of fastening and was thinking of velcro but I'm not sure where I would put it without it spoiling the look.

I've almost finished the cup book project but don't have photos yet.

New Art From Old

I decided to combine some paintings I did earlier in the year with some gelli prints also done previously. I did this digitally with photos rather than on the actual paintings.
