TAST 50

Take a Stitch Tuesday - Inverted Feather Stitch
I found it hard to keep neat, it is a new stitch to me but I don't think I will be using it again. I put on beads to make it look a bit better and attached it to a page of my green journal that I am working on at the moment.
The stitching is on some vintage woollen fabric and that is attached to some marbled fabric which I did years ago while doing the City & Guilds embroidery course.

  1. You MADE that marbled fabric?! Is there no end to your skill?
I have noticed that many find the Inverted Feather difficult, especially to get an even tension. You have used beads and I guess that helps to keep the thread in place. Maybe this stitch is best worked on counted fabric.

    1. I think you're right about the stitch being best on counted fabric.
I tried lots of new techniques on the City & Guilds course, I think that is when my love of experimenting with different crafts started.
