Friend Helen gave me a pack containing the background fabric, the fabric strips and beads, so I have been using it to embroider some of the TAST stitches on.
The TAST stitches include woven cross stitch, Vandyke stitch, raised chain band, woven zig zag chain stitch. Other stitches are running stitch, French knots and beading. So far. My stitching seems to get more untidy the older I get...

what a great idea for using up strips of fabric I have a similar idea but I really like your arrangement.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shirley, you can do a lot with strips
DeleteI like this idea of stitchinbg the Tast sttiches to stripes. It catches my eye because I make everything in green. It is an obsession, haha.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anneliese. Not a bad obsession I think.
DeleteIf your stitches were any tidier than this, they'd look out of place. With rough edged strips of fabric your stitches are just right.
ReplyDeleteYou maybe right Carin, I think I can get away with it here.
DeleteVery cool!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteA neat and creative way to do some of the TAST stitches on. Looks really nice!
