It has been a long time since I took part in the TAST challenge. TAST is short for Take a stitch Tuesday and you can find out more about it here on the Pintangle site and also join in too.
I found some aida ribbon and aida fabric that I have had for years so I thought I would use that. My stitching has got really untidy recently so I thought it would help to keep it neater. I did still go wrong in a couple of places, I didn't count the holes properly. The fabrics have been attached to something else but I will leave that for another day.
The stitches above are Linked Chain, Beaded Linked Chain, Shell Chain and Beaded Shell Chain.
Below is Eastern Stitch and two versions of Beaded Eastern Stitch, although I have used small buttons on one of the lines. Click on the images for a closer look.
Great samples and congrats on doing so many stitches.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to see you taking up TAST again.
ReplyDeleteYou have presented these last five stitches in such, for you, unusual way, but I guess you are not done yet.
I had a look through your fantastic books, the green, purple, the stitch book and the first stitch scrap book of 2010. You are the scrap and remnant's best friend! Every piece of ribbon, lace, snippet of fabric, button or bead as well as other unusual pieces of 'waste' is lovingly turned into something fantastic with the help of the TAST stitches.
I like your versions of the eastern stitch - expecially the middle one. I like also the buttons on the eastern stitch.
