Cherry Blossom and Doodlewash

My son and daughter-in-law bought me some acrylic paints for my birthday so I had a go with them. I found instructions on the internet for this.

  1. Accidents are disastrous when one uses watercolour, much easier to rectify with acrylic paint. I wonder how you 'painted' the flowers on the tree. They looked stamped with something round, the opening of the paint tube?

    1. The artist suggested cotton buds for stamping the blossom which I did use at first but then found the circles went rather large. I used a little stick for the rest of the blossom, like a blunt ended cocktail stick.

    2. When I used acrylic paint in school in the early 70s, it was a new thing and we tried it in many ways, finger painting was one of them.
Using both cotton buds and little stick means you got flowers of various sizes, which adds variety to the picture.

  2. Everything just looks beautiful but for some reason the buttons really struck me.
