First of all I finished the second hexie bag. All the hexagonal patches were stitched by hand, some not very neatly unfortunately. The first bag can be seen here.
I've also been doing some Gelli prints with my new acrylic paints.
I quite like this one but I thought I would go over it anyway.
I liked the colours on this but went over it with more prints until it turned out like this. You cannot see the first layer very well now.
I also did some prints directly into a flower book
This were not as successful I think
Happy Paint Party Friday!
These are wonderful works, great as you did. The fabric bag is also very nicely sewn!
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF,Elke
Your gelli prints are wonderful, and your hexie bag is fantastic. Perhaps I will get round to sewing mine one of these days! Have a great weekend, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteLovely post-such pretty colors!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bags! Great handmade work.
ReplyDeleteGelli prints and prints on the book are super.
Happy weekend xx
I haven't tried the hexagon pattern...PPF and Coffee is on
ReplyDeleteLovely prints! And that hexagon bag is so nice! Is there a lining inside? I have lots of hexies sewn, but never made anything with them.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes the bag is lined.
DeleteBoth bags are beautiful, and I guess, full of memories.
ReplyDeleteWhat you are doing with the gelli prints is experimenting, so it is natural that you go over them again and again. It is a good idea to take a picture before you make any changes, so you an image of each step.

I especially like the last three! Very delicate and colorful.
ReplyDeleteThese are really inspiring! Well done.
ReplyDeleteThat bag is amazing. Wonderful paintings too.
ReplyDeleteThe green fabric really does a great job framing the lovely hexies! The gelly prints are beautiful. I specially like the first and the second one.
