Painted Skirt
I don't know if anyone remembers but a couple of years ago I painted flowers on a skirt, they were really bright. When I washed it however the flowers faded considerably. I wore it again but when it was ready for washing I thought all that paining might disappear. So I have hand stitched around everything using running stitch and backstitch mainly. I washed it afterwards, I don't think the painting faded this time after all.

    They watercolours are fantastic, the vacuum cleaner made me smile. That must have taken you quite awhile to stitch all the flower but the result is amazing!
