There are faces above and faces below on the tree for Friday Face Off

I don't know whether this tree at Wallington fell down or was chopped down but it has become a wonderful sculpture. It is really quite long but I didn't get a photo to show this. There are faces carved into one side. The first picture shows the front of the tree.

Another gate for Thursday Doors, also at Wallington

I've seen a couple more Shaun the Sheep, one in Gateshead and one in Newcastle upon Tyne

Lot's of faces this week so I can join in with Friday Face Off

And one photo for Thursday Doors even though it is a gate, but I think it is a lovely gate seen near Malton in North Yorkshire

This one is for Cee's Which Way Challenge. I'm a week behind with steps. These are at Staithes

At Wallington for Three Photo Challenges

Sunflowers

I've got a new phone, a Pixel 7 Pro and I've been experimenting with the macro feature. I'm impressed with the details on these dying sunflowers..
{I resized the photos to 8oo pixels on the largest side for the blog, don't know if this alters the viewing of details too much]

Friday Catch Up 08 09 2023

I painted some leaves this week to alter a Frida Kahlo painting I did a while back.
This is the original painting after I altered the butterfly as it didn't stand out enough

The leaves were separated and arranged in photoshop, I included the Frida painting and it is now a repeating pattern for fabric. I can't make my mind up whether I like it or not.

Monarda Squaw

Some of them have stalks with flowers growing from another flower head below.

Altered Doodle
I used pens for the original doodle
I altered the rest in Photoshop using neural filters
