Gelli Plate Printing
I used real leaves and flowers with acrylic paints
I have a scrawny rose bush in my garden but it had these beautiful roses on it, just the two.
The photos for Thursday Doors, Monday Window and Pull up a Seat Photo Challenge were all taken at Sizergh Castle, a medieval manor with lovely gardens in the Lake District. It's a National Trust property and I have a lot more photos to share another time.
We actually had a day with no rain and it was hot!
Enjoy your week whatever the weather.
What a sweetie spiral couple 😊 and great gelli plate art .
ReplyDeleteOld doors are impressive!
Happy Wednesday 🌺
Nice work and photos
ReplyDeleteInteresting rustic looking doors, and those leaves are impressive.
ReplyDeleteAwww, the sweet wee mice kissing under the arch! I like your botanical prints too. And wow, those two perfect roses!
ReplyDeleteHow handy it would be to have a pot of vitamines growing on the window sill!

I love those 2 sweet mice. And you've inspired me to Gelli print with some real leaves and other natural bits. Did you first put down some paint, or did you put down the plant part first? Your pieces came out fabulous. I love the old architecture too. Have a super rest of your weekend. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteFor the gelli prints I put the paint down first, then the leaves.
DeleteLove the leaves! The drawings always make me smile, and the photos from Sizergh Castle are fabulous. I'd love to visit.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh.... you are such a fabulous artist! I love the photos too. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThere's a very interesting looking boat in one of those photos, with a very high prow, almost like a gondola. Not at all a local style, I wouldn't think!
ReplyDeleteLovely post. That seat looks perfect for a quiet visit.
