- More from Betancuria in Fuerteventura

Lots of chipmunks on the island, this one found a good place to sit at Costa Calma.
They are actually Barbary ground squirrels and are an invasive species, they damage the native flora and fauna.

Flower of the Day
Another cactus in Costa Calma.

Costa Calma - I'm pleased to say that most of the rain was out at sea

Wishing you a great weekend. It's a Bank holiday weekend here in the UK so some people will not be working, pity the weather is turning cool again after some fabulously warm days.

  3. Beautiful photos, doors and drawings. We have several chipmunks living various places in our back yard. They are cute, but they dig a lot.

  4. Whatever the weather, enjoy your holiday weekend.
Why is it that all the photos from your trips have no people in them? Do you get up very early in the morning to take them? Or in this case, is it siesta time?
